Hailey ‘Alohilani Banks[1][2] is the titular character and the main protagonist of Hailey's On It!. She is the best friend of Scott Denoga and Beta. Together, they try to overcome challenges to save their town and the world. HistoryMain article: Hailey Banks/History
AppearancePhysicalHailey is a 14-year-old Hawaiian-American girl of medium height with tan skin, dark brown shoulder-length hair that is usually styled in a ponytail with a red tie, and brown eyes. She wears big red glasses and has a chipped tooth, with square bangs in between her eyes. AttireHer clothing consists of rolled up blue jean overalls with a strap missing, a white t-shirt with red sleeves underneath, light pink slip-on shoes with white soles and a silver watch with a teal screen. When Hailey was six-years-old, she usually wore a pink short-sleeved shirt under a blue jean overall dress with burgundy strapped shoes. Her hair was the same and her bangs covered her forehead, and still had the chip in between her two front teeth. As she started to get older, she left the dress behind and wore short versions of her trademark overalls, but with a plain red shirt. She also wears calf-high white socks with light pink slip-on shoes and her big red glasses. PersonalityHailey is a bright and talented 14-year-old girl with big dreams, but is somewhat introverted, prone to overthink things and often talks herself out of taking risks. She doesn't go looking for crazy things to do, though. She really wants to make a difference in the world, but is happiest at home in her comfort zone. Hailey is a born “builder” and “maker,” getting her resourceful and creative gifts from her maternal great-great-grandfather P.H. Phlorange, a brilliant inventor who became the laughingstock of Oceanside when he built a beautiful state of the art lighthouse... but mistakenly pointed it in the wrong direction, blinding the townsfolk. Hailey is among the brightest in her school, and routinely wins her school’s science fairs, much to the chagrin of her classmate A.C., who considers himself her biggest academic rival, even though Hailey just views him as a pest. Hailey has always been ecologically-minded and many of her projects center around protecting the region’s wildlife, which will play a big part in her future when she invents an environmental “game changer” that will combat the global climate crisis. She is very creative, and every time she comes up with an idea she wants to do, she would put it on her list and plans to put it off, until The Professor arrives in her bedroom. She is very reluctant to talk to her at first, but after hearing from her that her to-do list that is the first step to saving the world, she learns that she must complete it, which means she has to try new things, which is something she has a tendency to avoid. The to-do list Hailey must complete, however, is set to push her far out of her comfort zone but she eventually gets the confidence and ability to do all these crazy things she wrote down on her list. That is her first step towards becoming a great person that does great things in the future and it slowly reveals a grit, determination, and bravery that’s been hidden inside of her all along. She’ll be shocked to see that with a little bit of confidence, she is one of the strongest, most-capable people on the planet.
