Hailey's journal is, as the name indicates, the journal of Hailey Banks. The book, started by Hailey in the first grade, is an item in which Hailey has documented many things she wants to do but hasn't yet done. It is returned to Hailey on New Year's Eve by the Professor, who entered from a time rift in Hailey's bedroom closet after a small robot tried to destroy the list (yanking it from her while she was adding an item to it). There are several hundred things on the list, but not all will play a crucial part in Hailey and her friends saving the world.
Some items on the list are just chores, which is ironic since Hailey didn't know that this list would be a big deal when she wrote it, but she knows that eventually when she completes the list, that's her first step toward these great things. Later, Hailey finds out she can add to the list and must also complete that list item.

Appearance[]
The journal is a notebook with an outward covered spine. The front and back covers are a mauve color, with the spine cover having a darker tint. The cover is filled with stickers of a bow and arrow and a chicken. The pages are a yellow tone, and are filled with sticky notes and tabs.
The lower right corner of the book is often seen with damage there, caused by the Chaos Bot attempting to shred it in the first episode. However, on some occasions it has been inconsistently shown as intact.

Trivia[]
- The book is referred to as "My Big List of Things I'm Totally Gonna Do," which is also written on the cover of it.
- It is currently unknown how the journal is going to help save the world or whether or not it plays a crucial part in saving the world, but there will be more to it than just the to-do list, due to The Professor telling Hailey that completing the list was the first step toward her saving the world.
- Removing list items is dangerous and can cause time glitches, but as seen in "Who Let the Dogs Out? (Hailey)", list items can be added without consequence.
- The list item "Kiss Scott Denoga" is numbered 143. This may be a reference to the code 143, which means "I love you".
- For some unexplained reason, riding/flying in a hot-air balloon is listed twice. In the series premiere, it's #102, but if the theme song is paused at just the right moment, the item is listed as number #238. It's extremely easy to miss, but noticeable.
- The number 167 was used twice for different list items, winning the sandcastle-building contest and the Crab Queen crown.
- The same can be said for number 81.
