(Hailey)" Next "The A-Maize-Ing Maze" “ TBA — Hailey Banks ” "Beta's Gonna Hate" is the first segment in the sixteenth episode of the first season of Hailey's On It!. It is also the twenty-ninth episode of the season overall. It premiered on September 29, 2023 on Disney Channel. Plot Beta announces that Hailey is officially fifteen items ahead and therefore is allowed to have a break. Unfortunately, it begins to rain which inspires Patricia to suggest that Hailey and Scott do some house cleaning. To help, she reveals that she brought home a British-accented cleaning robot named Alphred to test out at home. Beta immediately becomes suspicious of Alphred despite the fact that he is polite, upbeat, and efficient. He interacts with Beta whom he immediately takes an interest in, but Beta responds with derision. Hailey and Scott decide to finish the item of cleaning the attic, but upon seeing the numerous things fall out decide to do indoor Olympics. Beta starts to find Alphred's behavior suspicious and comes to the conclusion that he is a Chaos bot spy. He finds "evidence" of Alphred's wrongdoing, but Hailey and Scott believe that Beta is jealous of Alphred. Beta catches Alphred looking through his things, once again claiming that it is Alphred snooping, but Hailey and Scott simply see that Beta is being paranoid over nothing. Meanwhile, Hailey and Scott continue their indoor Olympics with Kai joining in on the events. Patricia finds out what they have been doing and forces Hailey and Scott to put everything back up in the attic. Scott points out that she did not complete the list item, but Hailey isn't worried. While trying to hide from Alphred, Beta ends up getting jacked by him and the two battle within their coding. Alphred completes his scan of Beta and happily concludes what he suspected all along: he is his "father", or rather grand-ancestor. He apologizes for causing so much trouble for Beta, but Beta is happy to learn that he has literal family. Scott and Hailey return and are glad to see that the two of them are getting along. Patricia reveals that she has to take Alphred back to work, but discreetly reveals to Beta that he will talk to him again soon. Beta happily tells Scott and Hailey that he was not a friend, but family, confusing the two of them. Hailey says "break bad" is maybe a reference to Breaking Bad. Alphred says "Beta, I am your father." is a reference to Star Wars. Alphred's name is a combination of Alpha and Alfred. Continuity This episode marks the fifth to feature a characters name following "Beta'd and Hooked," "Kristine-ceañera," "Who Let the Dogs Out? (Hailey)" and "Leather Jacket Hailey." It is also the second to feature Beta's name. This is the first episode to depict Hailey failing to complete a list item, shared with its paired episode "The A-Maize-Ing Maze". This is the second time where some is assumed to be a Chaos Bot is in disguise, but is eventually revealed to be an innocent person, following a similar mistake from "Smells Like Queen Spirit."
